iaf Congress on Rail Infrastructure Works

The 2nd iaf Congress on Rail Infrastructure Works(BahnBau)Rail infrastructure “fit for the future” will take place on the 20th and 21st of May 2015 in Munster. Experts and representatives of leading international railway undertakings will discuss the European infrastructure and its future. Dr. Volker Kefer, Member of the Management Board for Infrastructure and Services of Deutsche Bahn AG has confirmed his patronage. He will solemnly open the Congress on 20th May 2015. The chairpersons of the German, Austrian, Swiss and French national railways are expected to participate in a transnational exchange of experience. At the same time specialists, experts and other interested persons will be able to exchange and network in order to jointly get future European projects started. Further to the conferences and discussions there will again be a supporting industry exhibition. Technical demonstrations on the tracks and on the outdoor fairground are being planned. The iaf Congress BahnBau has been brought into being in 2011 and takes place in a 4-years rhythm – complementing the International Exhibition for Track Technology (iaf) which has become the World‘s largest exhibition in the field of track technology. The iaf and the iaf Congress BahnBau are events of the Association of German Railway Engineers (VDEI).
