Two major events are taking place this March: Asia Pacific Rail in Hong Kong and RAIL Asia Expo 2018 and the RISE Symposium in Bangkok
RAIL Asia Expo 2019
RAIL Asia Expo 2018 and the RISE Symposium welcomed a record audience to its fourth edition at the Makkasan Airport Rail Link Expo Halls in Bangkok. The 2019 edition of the event will once again take place at Makkasan Airport Rail Link Expo Halls in Bangkok from 28th to 29th March.
Supported by Thailand’s Ministry of Transport, the State Railway of Thailand and the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, the expo includes workshops and a tour of Bang Sue Station which by 2021 will be Bangkok’s main transport hub – linking the city’s major metro lines with long distance services.
The exhibition will welcome 2,500 industry members and trade professionals from across Asia as Bangkok has now established itself as a central hub for the rail network in East Asia having surpassed estimates for its investment in its infrastructure and metro systems.

Asia Pacific Rail 2019
The 2019 edition of Asia’s premier rail event, Asia Pacific Rail, will take place in Hong Kong from 19th to 20th March at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
There will be over 2,000 rail, government and operator professionals in attendance over the two days of the conference. Visitors will be able to attend over 60 free seminars on track infrastructure, project management, latest technologies, rail innovations and more with the opportunity to meet and purchase products from over 80 railway suppliers.
Speakers include representatives from MTR, Singapore’s LTA, The World Bank, Deutsche Bahn AG, Public Transport Victoria, London Underground, ARUP and many others.
The opening morning panel looks at the railway as part of the transport ecosystem and asks where Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) fits in the broader context of a digital rail strategy and how we can enable last mile connectivity at all levels.
There will also be project updates from Singapore’s Thomson-East Coast Line, the Kaohsiung Metro expansion, Tokyo Metro, Kochi Metro, Kuala Lumpur’s Klang Valley MRT and the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore
