Singapore Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (SMRT) has appointed Ms Tham Soh Mui (Tammie) as a Director of SMRT Trains Ltd, effective July 29, 2025.
Ms Tham brings over 20 years of cybersecurity experience to the role, having served as Group Chief Executive Officer of Ensign InfoSecurity, a joint venture between Temasek Holdings and StarHub, until December 2024. Under her leadership, Ensign grew to become Asia’s largest pure-play cybersecurity service provider.
Prior to Ensign, Ms Tham founded cybersecurity systems integrator Accel Systems & Technologies in 2012, which was later acquired by StarHub in 2017. She also held senior positions at IBM and BT Frontline.
Currently an advisor at technology consulting firm SimplifyNext, Ms Tham serves on multiple boards including Singapore Institute of Technology, Mediacorp, and iFAST Corporation.
SMRT said Ms Tham will leverage her expertise to strengthen the company’s cyber risk governance and operational resilience. The appointment comes as transport operators face increasing cybersecurity threats.
The company also thanked Mr Peter Tan Boon Heng, who stepped down from the Board of SMRT Corporation Ltd in the past year.
