Asia Pacific Rail, the region’s foremost conference and exhibition for the rail industry, returns to Bangkok, Thailand on 6–7 May 2026. Now in its latest edition, the two-day event is expected to attract more than 5,000 attendees and over 250 sponsors and exhibitors, with a speaker programme featuring upwards of 200 rail professionals from across Asia and beyond.
The event takes place against a backdrop of significant regional investment in rail infrastructure. More than 79,000 kilometres of rail projects are currently planned or under construction across Asia, positioning the region as one of the most active rail markets in the world. Asia Pacific Rail has established itself as a key forum for the operators, authorities, suppliers, and policymakers driving that growth.
This year’s programme will be spread across seven conference theatres, covering themes including Digital Rail, Metro and Mainline Project Updates, Signalling and Communications, Operations and Maintenance, Rolling Stock, Freight, and Passenger Experience. All conference sessions are free to attend. The exhibition floor will showcase the latest technologies and solutions from suppliers operating across the full spectrum of the rail sector, from asset management and system integration to cybersecurity, ticketing, and train interiors.
Attendees will represent a broad cross-section of the industry, with delegates drawn from rail operators, government bodies and authorities, engineering contractors, and specialist suppliers. Thailand accounts for the largest share of attendees at 52 percent, with significant representation also expected from Singapore, China, Australia, and the rest of Asia. Senior figures from organisations including Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation, East Japan Railway Company, SMRT Corporation, the State Railway of Thailand, Bangkok Mass Transit System, Siemens Mobility, Arup, Network Rail, Transport for NSW, and KiwiRail are among those confirmed to speak.
The event also includes a dedicated Start-Up Zone for early-stage companies seeking to engage with established industry players, as well as structured networking facilitated through a dedicated event application. Sponsorship and exhibition packages are available across multiple tiers, with options ranging from keynote speaking slots and facilitated introductions to branded exhibition space.
