Singapore will host its first Urban Mobility Week (SUMW) from 4-6 November 2026 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, bringing together policymakers, transport authorities, operators, technology leaders and industry experts from Singapore and around the world to discuss the future of urban mobility.

The biennial event is jointly organised by Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA), MSI Global and MP Singapore, with support from the Ministry of Transport. It will run under the theme “Drive the Future – Autonomous Innovation, Smart Infrastructure, and Urban Mobility,” with a multi-stage programme spanning autonomous mobility, infrastructure, public transport, rail, technology and workforce development. Organisers describe the event as a strategic networking hub for the urban mobility sector across Asia Pacific and beyond, combining an exhibition of transport technologies with a conference programme aimed at advancing policy, innovation and best practice.

The programme opens on the afternoon of 4 November with the Leaders Summit, described by organisers as the centrepiece of the week. Chaired by LTA leadership, the Summit will comprise four panel discussions bringing together perspectives from global transport authorities, operators, technology companies and academic institutions, addressing governance and policy-making, infrastructure investment, public-private partnerships, technology enablers and long-term urban planning. Confirmed speakers include LTA’s Lim Zhi Jian, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive (Public Transport, Policy & Planning); Mark Tan, Deputy Chief Executive (Corporate & Development); Yee Boon Cheow, Deputy Chief Executive (Infrastructure & Development); and Lam Wee Shann, Chief Technology Officer and Deputy Chief Executive (Technology).

Industry Forums will follow on 5-6 November, running across two stages and presenting thematic sessions aimed at public and private sector leaders, infrastructure specialists, solution providers and innovators, examining opportunities and challenges facing urban mobility across Asia and beyond.

Alongside the public programme, a by-invite-only AV Regulators Forum will convene international transport authorities and regulators over the same two days for closed-door discussions on autonomous vehicle deployment plans, evolving safety and cybersecurity standards, and regulatory frameworks covering licensing, liability and public acceptance.

LTA, which has overseen Singapore’s land transport network since 1995, now manages an MRT network of more than 200km, over 160km of expressways and more than 600km of cycling paths and park connectors. Its consultancy arm, MSI Global, provides land transport planning and systems engineering services in more than 20 countries. MP Singapore, part of the Pico Group, is providing events and marketing management for SUMW.

Sessions in both the Leaders Summit and Industry Forums are eligible for Professional Development Units. Further details and registration are available at sgurbanmobility.com.
